All Seasons Childcare Nursery has been purpose designed and equipped to meet the individual needs of you and your child.
The welfare and safety of your child is paramount and, with this in mind, our reception area allows visitors access to the building without allowing them to enter the main nursery, until accompanied by a senior member of staff.
By creating a safe, secure and stimulating environment you can be assured that your child will be happy in the care of our qualified, experienced and motivated staff team.
Situated within just under an acre of land, All Seasons can provide a wealth of space to encourage and promote the development of your child.
The baby room is fully equipped with age appropriate resources and experienced staff to cater for your child from the age of 6 weeks to 2 years old.
Working within a keyworker system on a 1:3 ratio, you and your child will become familiar with a designated Nursery Officer who will be responsible for maintaining your child’s development and progress records and providing feedback to you relating to your child’sactivities and experiences during their day.
Diary sheets are sent home on a daily basis, informing you of your child’s routine and activity for that day.
In order to main
tain continuity of care between the home and the nursery, we ask that you provide toiletries for your child such as nappies and creams, giving you the choice as to the brands and products that are used. We also ask that any milk feeds are prepared at home and clearly labelled. Milk will be stored in the “milk kitchen” within the baby room.
We ask that before your child starts nursery that you inform us of the details of your child’s typical daily routine, their likes and dislikes and anything that may be personal to the care requirements of your child.
Within the 2-3’s room the ratio of staff to children changes to 1:4. It is during your child’s time in this room that their self-confidence and independence will be encouraged and a routine followed.
This unit has an attached bathroom and an outlook onto the spacious rear garden. Following on from the baby unit, children will continue to follow the “Birth to three matters” framework under our keyworker system.
The framework supports children in their earliest years and recognises the contribution made to the development of very young children by the adults who care for them. The purpose of the framework is to provide support, information, guidance and challenge for all those with responsibility for the care and education of babies and children from birth to three years.
During the child’s year in this unit there will be a wealth of opportunity for your child to learn through play: experiencing and exploring physical, intellectual, communication, creative and social activities within the unit and in the outdoor environment.
Our pre-school unit aims to prepare your child for the transition to full-time education. Skilled and experienced staff will guide the children through the “Foundation Stage Curriculum”, with input from a qualified teacher from Birmingham City Council advising on planning, resources and effective delivery of the curriculum.The pre-school unit is divided into 3 areas – 1 area specifically equipped for structured classroom based activities, 1 area specifically for free-play and choice-making and a separate bathroom.
Children within the pre-school have access to a P.C with secure internet connection, providing an opportunity for information technology and communication development.
Children have many opportunities within the planned day to carry out activities in our extensive outdoor area.

Staff provide the children with plenty of opportunities that stimulate and encourage their creativity through play.
“Children’s regular use of creative materials enables them to develop a wealth of imaginative, exploratory and sensory experiences. The educational programme effectively covers the areas of music, movement, dance, art and craft and imaginative play. A visiting dance and movement teacher reinforces their enjoyment in this area. Children are able to explore different materials for themselves using recyclable materials. They use paper and glue to mould storage for recyclable materials brought in from home. Our garden has been specifically designed to give the children a range of equipment to develop their independence and development skills. We encourage as much time outdoors as possible. Within our planning we timetable a lot of our classroom activities here, especially when the sun comes out!

These workers have to mold, set, and manage metal construction materials. They build bridges and skyscrapers and have a job that requires them to spend a lot of their time above the ground. 3. Armed Forces
For obvious reasons, soldiers have a very risky job. Soldiers are thrown into conflict prepared with arms, tanks, missiles, bombs, and lots of other weapons in order to try and end a conflict or obtain something. There are always people out to get them so they have to defend themselves and quell opposition. Either way, when you have men and women totally armed, there are bound to be casualties and losses.
2. Tree Logging
Unless you have seen “American Loggers” on TV, you may not have realized how dangerous it really is. They work at high altitudes, sometimes on the sides of mountains, removing trees. If they aren’t harnessed in properly or aware to their surroundings, they may not survive to see nightfall. Logging is a skill. If the tree goes down a different way than you projected, you may never be cutting wood again. Once the tree is down though, the threat isn’t over. The men need to always be serious because, even if they have already cut down the trees, they still have to get the trees off the mountain.

Being a professional fisherman may seem like something that would be peaceful but the TV show “Deadliest Catch” proves otherwise. This is the most fatal profession of 2009. These men go out for weeks at a time and have to face nature and the ocean. In 2008, the Labor Department reported 50 deaths out of 39,000. This fizzles down to 128.9 per 100,000 full-time workers dying. Uneven seas, unpredictable weather, and remoteness during emergencies make this job very risky.
While these jobs may be unsafe, they are also very gratifying. They offer individuals an exhilarating job that isn’t standard. They have to always be paying attention of their surroundings and stay alert. Or else, their life may be on the line. These jobs are also very physical and allow workers the capability to get outside and see and do different things. While these jobs are rewarding, individuals would be wise to think about other options.
